Hi, I'm Matt Gordon.

I'm interested in the Growth PM – AI & Experimentation role.

I pitched Suno on a very similar idea last year, then ended up building prototypes for them exploring new ideas AI-generated music makes possible: playful, social experiences perfect for sharing.

I built web and iOS prototypes with a conceptual or visual hook that works well on TikTok.

Two of the concepts I explored were later pursued by the company as product features.

I like making stuff that goes viral:

• Used Spotify to plant 42,000 trees — 4.2 million+ streams on Spotify
• Helped thousands of people avoid pandemic-era meetings
• Helped develop the concept for an app that incentivized people to pick up 10 million pieces of trash
• Came 2nd out of 1,500+ entries in Pieter Levels' VibeJam with a vibe-coded game

Why Locket

I love the idea and execution of Locket.

Now feels like a very exciting time.

People still want connection, and AI is going to enable that in ways we're only beginning to imagine.

One possible future is horrible: constant stimulation, boxed in by an algorithm, with zero real connection.

Another is wonderful and hopeful: AI helps us express ourselves and find deeper meaning with our people.

I want to build the latter, and I think Locket is the company to do that with.

I'm especially interested in the experimentation side of the role: taking ideas that sound a bit odd at first, making them really quickly, and seeing whether people actually use and share them.

I find that process very exciting — and when something clicks, it's thrilling.

P.S. Pre Claude Code, I made things with React, Node, React Native/Expo, and some SwiftUI. I've used Firebase a lot and have experience with Amplitude. Post Claude Code, I've mostly been building in plain HTML/CSS/JS, Rails, and SwiftUI.
